At Dorset County Hospital, we’ve been part of a national study called The RECOVERY Trial. It’s the biggest trial in the world looking at potential treatments for coronavirus.  “We’ve been particularly successful in supporting patients joining this trial. “One novel treatment involves giving plasma from patients who’ve had coronavirus to another patient who is at an earlier stage of the disease. “It means a small district general hospital like ours has had access to new potential treatments so that’s been a real positive for us here.
