Bull - charcoal on canvas 2000. The artists chose a prize bull from the local area to be the subject of this work. The work is about scale but more importantly it is a celebration of the respect and dignity of the animal.

The hospital commission by Susan Derges, The River Taw, is located outside the Maternity Unit on South Wing Level 1. It was commissioned in 1997.
